Occupational therapy is a client-centered health profession focused on promoting health and well-being through everyday activities. The primary goal of occupational therapy is to enable people to participate in meaningful activities, routines, and roles - also known as occupations. Occupational therapists work with people to enhance their ability to engage in the occupations they want to, need to, or are expected to do. Occupational therapists achieve this outcome by modifying the occupation/activity and/or environment to better support overall engagement.

Occupational therapy services will focus on promoting self-management strategies by creating/providing wellness goals, interventions and recommendations.

Your mental and physical health are important components of your overall wellbeing. At Tripod Fertility, our occupational therapists will collaborate with you to create an individualized care plan, which can include but is not limited to the following:

• Stress & Anxiety Management
• Establishing & Planning Daily Routines
• Ergonomics & Posture
• Equipment Recommendations & Home Adaptations
• Counselling Services (emotional support/coping)
• Sleep Hygiene
• Fatigue & Energy Management

Sabrina has a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto (2022) alongside a Master of Arts in Recreation and Leisure Studies from the University of Waterloo (2019). As an occupational therapist (OT), Sabrina embraces a relationship-centered care approach with clients and aims to address all domains of health: physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual, and environmental. Sabrina and Sofia will collaborate to support all Tripod Fertility clients. 

Sofia graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (2022) and an Honours Bachelor of Science (2019). As an Occupational Therapist (OT), Sofia adopts a holistic, person-centred approach to care for clients. She, alongside Sabrina Teles, will collaborate and support individuals and/or couples by developing self-management strategies to enhance mental and physical health throughout their journey at Tripod Fertility.
